Singer Hong Jin-young drew a line on rumors of a close relationship with 'Jusaimo'.
On the 23rd, Hong Jin-young's agency issued an official statement and explained the allegations of a close relationship with the so-called 'Jusaimo'.
Recently a photo of Hong Jin-young taken with Mr. Lee, nicknamed "Jusaimo," who is reported to have performed illegal medical procedures without a medical license, spread widely and caused a backlash. Allegations arose that Hong Jin-young might also be connected to him.
In response, Hong Jin-young's side explained, "We understand that the photo in question was taken during the period after 'Love Battery' when Hong Jin-young was promoting as 'Bugiman,' as noted in the accompanying content. Calculated by years, it is presumed to have been taken at a hospital about 12 years ago. After reviewing the photo, Hong Jin-young herself said the time of the photo is too long ago and that she has no memory whatsoever of Mr. Lee, who appears in the photo."
They continued, "While promoting as a singer, Hong Jin-young has taken many photos at the request of various products, brands and hospitals for sponsored verification shots through multiple channels, but she cannot remember visiting and being photographed at that hospital because it was so long ago. Also, Ms. Lee and Hong Jin-young were not following each other on social media and were not close, so we earnestly request restraint from speculative reporting related to this matter."
Meanwhile, recently Park Narae was embroiled in controversy after allegations surfaced that she received proxy prescriptions for psychotropic drugs and illegal medical procedures from Mr. Lee, nicknamed 'Jusaimo,' along with accusations of power harassment by a former manager. Afterwards, many entertainers who appeared to have contact with the 'Jusaimo' were widely mentioned and issued explanations.
Park Narae's side explained, "She only received vitamin injections from someone with a medical license," but circumstances suggesting that Mr. Lee did not hold a domestic medical license were discovered, creating a problem. Eventually complaints were filed with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station accusing Park Narae, the 'Jusaimo' and the former manager of violations including the Act on the Control of Narcotics, psychotropic drugs and precursors (psychotropics), Medical Service Act, Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, Wastes Control Act, and the Act on Special Measures for the Control of Health-related Crimes.
