Actor Eom Gi-jun has signed an exclusive contract with Eenterainment.
On the 23rd, Eenterainment said, "We are pleased to be working with Eom Gi-jun, an actor who represents Korea," and added, "Based on the experience he has built over many years on stage and in works, we will be a reliable partner so that Eom Gi-jun can actively continue his activities across musical, drama, and film."
Eom Gi-jun began his acting career on the theater stage and established himself as a seasoned actor by moving between musicals and drama. Through major works such as the musicals "Werther," "Gwanghwamun Sonata," "Those Days," "Jack the Ripper," and "Rebecca," and the plays "Ordeal" and "Art," he has shown a powerful presence.
In drama he also appeared in "Resurrection of the Seven," "The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival," "Little Women," and "The Penthouse" seasons 1, 2 and 3, proving an acting range that transcends genres. In particular, through "The Penthouse" series aired in 2020 and 2021, he won the 2020 SBS Drama Awards best actor in the mid-length and long drama category and the 2021 Grime Award for best actor, capturing both popularity and topicality.
Eom Gi-jun is currently meeting audiences in the musical "Sugar" as Joseph (Jo), a romantic saxophonist who cross-dresses to survive. Even amid a radical acting transformation, he has received praise for raising the work's immersion with delicate emotional lines and overwhelming stage dominance.
