'Painter Eva Armisen, who has depicted the ordinary and small happinesses of everyday life, will participate as a producer in the original musical 'Lina, Superhero' produced in Korea.
Spanish-born Eva Armisen has held several exhibitions in Korea and has been widely loved by the public and critics for works with warm themes of family, flowers and everyday life. Many are looking forward to how her artistic world, which has delicately captured everyday emotions rather than dramatic events, will expand in the genre of musical, where music, performance and stage devices come together.
The musical 'Lina, Superhero' unfolds around the warm family that has repeatedly appeared in Eva Armisen's paintings. Major characters include ordinary girl Lina, her younger sibling Mino, grandmother, mother and father, and an abandoned robot doll. Added to this are characters that have become monsters due to environmental destruction, such as "Stickystick," "Eatatet," and "Bearbear," and Lina and her party embark on an exciting adventure.
Eva Armisen has been holding continuous meetings and discussions with the Korean creative team since March this year, and in September she visited Korea in person to participate in a workshop, showing special affection and passion for this work.
The characters appearing in the musical will soon be revealed as Eva Armisen's paintings, and in July 2026, her painted characters will step out of their frames to move, sing and dance in three dimensions on stage, telling their story.
Eva Armisen's message that "everyday happiness begins with preserving the global environment" expands into "a story of a girl who changes the world with superpowers," becoming a family musical that the whole family can relate to.
A participatory exhibition will open before the musical's premiere. This exhibition is composed of character concept art drawn by Eva Armisen herself for 'Lina, Superhero,' the production process of the performance, new original paintings, and various interactive elements in each exhibition space connected to the story. Visitors will have a special experience of feeling the story physically through environment-themed activities.
'Lina, Superhero' official account will open on Dec. 23, 2025, and detailed information will be released sequentially through the official account.<
