Group T-ara member Jiyeon and baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun have drawn attention by showing different paths in their respective positions after their divorce.
On the 22nd, Jiyeon posted a photo on her social media story showing her departing the country from an airport with T-ara members, along with a black heart emoji and no further explanation.
Jiyeon, who captured the members' reflections in the window with her camera, shared with fans her everyday routine preparing for a flight in comfortable styling. In particular, she sent a message of support while receiving a product from the brand launched by Hyomin, and she also posted ordinary daily photos, continuing active communication.
T-ara, which includes Jiyeon, continued its full-group activities by holding a special fan meeting in Hong Kong on the 20th. Jiyeon also revealed photos with the members, showing unchanged teamwork and a sense of belonging.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband Hwang Jae-gyun has ended a 30-year baseball career. Hwang, who debuted with the Hyundai Unicorns and went on to the Heroes, Lotte Giants and KT Wiz, decided to retire during free agent negotiations.
He said, "All day long, even at this moment as I write this, my tears do not stop with emotions that are hard to express in words," and added, "I did not know that taking off the baseball uniform would require such great courage. Because of that, I will make even more effort not to regret this choice."
Hwang Jae-gyun and Jiyeon married in December 2022, but after a separation they agreed to divorce two years into the marriage and announced their divorce last October. Now, about a year after the divorce, the two are turning the page to new lives in different places.
Jiyeon continues her path as a singer through group activities and personal communication, while Hwang Jae-gyun is preparing for a second life after taking off his uniform.
