WAAO Entertainment officially announced plans for the 2026 "Let's Love k-pop asia tour."
This tour attracts attention because it aims to be a sustainable K-pop tour model that goes beyond simple overseas performances by combining fan-participation concerts with social contribution.
Amid the growing popularity of K-pop, WAAO Entertainment plans to launch a 100 billion won "K-Culture Global Fund" beginning in January next year in Singapore.
WAAO CEO Park Jae-hyun said, "The 2026 'Let's Love Asia Tour' will initially start in May next year in Indonesia, followed by Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore. Revenue from concerts held in each country will be used for social contribution activities such as free medical clinics and education support projects for local people in need, with the goal of realizing the 'good influence' through K-pop," showing strong enthusiasm.
Park also said, "The performances will be operated as mid-to-large-scale concerts tailored to the characteristics of each city (about 10,000 to 50,000 people), and we will run a project to discover K-pop rookies in each city to promote the simultaneous growth of local fandoms and the global fandom," and explained, "We chose Southeast Asia as the first starting point of the Asia tour because passion and fandom for K-pop are very large there, and cultural events combined with social contribution have high ripple effects. It is the best starting point to realize the essence of Red Angel, which is cheering and sharing."
Meanwhile, WAAO established its financial headquarters in Singapore, a local corporation in Malaysia for Southeast Asian marketing, and a corporation in Indonesia to serve as an operations headquarters in order to cover businesses across the Asian region. On this basis, it said it will directly lead essential tour elements such as strategic partnerships, securing major venues and expanding local networks without intermediaries.
WAAO is an Indonesia-based company established on the foundation of the Korean cheering squad Red Angel, which has long spread K-pop concerts and cheering culture domestically and abroad, and is currently expanded and operating as three corporations in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
However, in 2022, while promoting the first "Let's Love" concert in Indonesia, the plan collapsed due to organized fraud by malicious local Koreans and threats impersonating immigration officials, and officials endured hardship including being detained.
Nevertheless, after difficult corporate recovery work in a short period, in December 2023 WAAO held the "Let's Love Indonesia We all are One Pre-Christmas K-pop concert" at Casablanca Hall in Jakarta featuring EXO Chen, ASTRO MJ and SECRET NUMBER, and in September it completed the lineup for "WATERBOMB BALI 2025" featuring 2NE1, Kwon Eun-bi, Zico and EXO Chanyeol, demonstrating a full recovery.
