American popular YouTuber Adam the Woo has suddenly passed away. He was 51 years old.
According to People on the 23rd (local time), Adam the Woo (real name David Adam Williams) was found dead on the 22nd at his home in Celebration, Florida. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office told PEOPLE, "A man was found unresponsive at a residence, officers responded to the scene, entered with rescue personnel and confirmed his death."
Authorities said an acquaintance borrowed a ladder and, while checking inside through a third-floor window, found an unresponsive man on a bed, and a report was subsequently made. There are no indications of criminal charges at this time, and the exact cause of death will be determined by an autopsy. The sheriff's office said it notified the deceased's father of the death.
News of his death prompted an outpouring of condolences from colleagues. Close YouTuber Justin Scarred posted on social media, "My heart is so broken I cannot say anything right now. The world lost a giant, and I lost a friend closer than blood," and asked, "Please pray for his parents and sister." Another friend, Chris Yoon, said, "We spent time together just four days ago. We talked about future content plans and travel; I can't believe it," unable to hide his shock.
Adam the Woo began his YouTube activities in 2009 and launched his main channel, The Daily Woo, in 2012. He uploaded daily vlogs without missing a day for five years, traveled to all 50 U.S. states, and captured theme park explorations, ghost towns and haunted houses, and the everyday life and history of small towns, earning love from fans around the world.
He was especially known as a "Disney expert" who frequently visited Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and he left a strong impression by consistently introducing historical sites related to Walt Disney. His final video was released on the 21st, one day before his death, and showed him viewing Celebration's Christmas decorations.
Fans around the world have continued to post messages of mourning, calling him "a creator who reminded us of the meaning of travel" and "the storyteller who loved Disney the most."
