Actor Im Cheol-soo grants a role in tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Undercover Miss Hong'.
tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Undercover Miss Hong" (directed by Park Seon-ho, written by Moon Hyun-kyung) is a retro office comedy set in the late 1990s, in which 30-year-old elite securities supervisor Hong Geum-bo (Park Shinhye) goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm where suspicious funds have been detected and the ensuing chaotic events unfold.
Im Cheol-soo plays Cha Jung-il, director general of Hanmin Securities' research department. Cha Jung-il is a sycophant genius and such an unofficial spokesman for Hanmin Securities that he is known for being slick and talkative. He represents that era, constantly calling her 'Miss Hong,' foreshadowing an antagonistic chemistry with Geum-bo. Im Cheol-soo is expected to capture viewers' attention with his solid skills and distinctive acting. In addition, his teamwork with Seo Hyun-cheol and Kim Do-hyun as the Hanmin Securities fire truck trio is another point to look forward to.
Im Cheol-soo has drawn attention with his unique character work and acting in a variety of projects such as the drama Our Unwritten Seoul, Woman Who Plays, Kingdom: Ashin of the North, Vincenzo, and the movie Target. From witty characters that elicit laughter to weighty, serious roles, he expresses diverse characters in his own colors and has solidified his reputation as an actor who lives up to his name.
