Actress Lee Si-young lost confidence over worries about her second daughter, who was born prematurely.
On the 22nd Lee Si-young released a video titled "Hello, Ssikssik greets you. Feat. the story of losing 9kg at the birthcare center" on her YouTube channel "Bbusiyoung."
After giving birth to her second daughter, Lee Si-young headed to a birthcare center located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. The birthcare center Lee Si-young used is the most expensive in the country, costing from a minimum of 12 million won to a maximum of 50 million won for a two-week stay; it is noted for strict privacy with individual gardens, a spa, dermatology services and minimal external exposure.
Lee Si-young said she chose this birthcare center because her first son could come to visit, and she was satisfied that visits from friends or other acquaintances were allowed even without a spouse.
Later Lee Si-young brought her second daughter, who had been in the neonatal intensive care unit, to the birthcare center. In university hospital neonatal intensive care units, umbilical cords that have become detached in principle are discarded immediately, so Lee Si-young's daughter had no navel. Lee Si-young said, "My body also needs to recover and Ssikssik is such a premature baby that I am cautious. I have been here for 10 days but the baby has only been here a few days. I was depressed during the week I didn't have the baby. Because she is my second child I was confident I could raise her well, but at 1.9kg as a premature baby I returned to being a complete beginner mother."
