A woman in her 50s from Japan who attempted to break into BTS Jungkook's home has been booked by police.
On the 22nd, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul said that a woman in her 50s from Japan identified as A, who had been under preliminary investigation for attempted trespassing, was formally booked on the 16th.
The police converted it into a formal investigation and recently summoned Jungkook's representative to conduct a complainant interview. In particular, A has also been investigated for violation of the anti-stalking law at the request of the complainant.
A, a Japanese tourist, is accused of repeatedly pressing the lock on the front door of Jungkook's residence in Yongsan District, Seoul, and attempting to break in between the 12th and 14th of last month.
The report was filed on the 14th of last month, but because A was not staying in the country, no suspect interrogation was carried out. A police official said, "If A re-enters the country, an investigation will be conducted."
This is not the first time Jungkook has been the victim of a home intrusion. Earlier in June this year, a woman in her 30s from China who tried to break into Jungkook's home was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted trespassing and later given a suspended prosecution.
In addition, in August a woman in her 40s from Korea entered Jungkook's home parking lot and was arrested on suspicion of trespassing. At the time she reportedly rambled, "I entered because it's a friend's house."
Jungkook warned repeatedly on a live broadcast, "Please don't come, seriously. If you step into our parking lot, you can't get out. Unless I open it for you, you can't get out. You just get trapped. And there are CCTVs, they see everything. If you don't want to go to the police station, don't come in. Understand?" He warned, "If you come, I'll just lock you up. So you'll just be taken away. You'll be dragged (to the police). We've secured evidence and everything is recorded. If you want to be dragged to the police, come."
Meanwhile, BTS, of which Jungkook is a member, has all members finishing their military hiatus and is slated to make a full-group comeback next spring.
