Singer Kim Jang Hoon issued an apology after he disclosed the face of MBLAQ's Mir's bride without permission.
Mir, the younger sibling of Go Eun-ah and a former member of the group MBLAQ, held a wedding and became husband and wife with a non-celebrity one year his senior on the 21st at a location in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
Mir and his bride-to-be tied the knot based on the trust and faith they had built over a long time. He, the day before the wedding, personally announced the marriage news and said, "I met a precious connection and we have become husband and wife. Mir's wedding was a private event attended only by family, relatives and acquaintances. As the controversy intensified, Kim Jang Hoon deleted the video, but the bride's face had already spread online, and Kim Jang Hoon bowed his head by posting a lengthy apology.
He said, "I offer my apology regarding Bang Cheol-yong's wedding video," and explained, "Yesterday I went to the wedding and during the second-part congratulatory song I energetically sang 'Highway Romance' and ended it enjoyably, and then posted the video of the bride and groom exiting the ceremony. I never imagined it would be private. I had no idea it was private, and when I learned from my manager that I was on the news I hastily removed it, but by then it had already been shared everywhere so it could not be retracted."
He added, "Since my return I have tried to be careful, walking on thin ice so as not to cause controversy, but I still behaved shamefully, not living up to my age. I am so embarrassed and sorry," and apologized, saying, "I deserve the insults and criticism. From now on I will be obsessively thorough in looking into, confirming and thinking about everything to do my best to prevent this from happening again."
