SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) heated up Japan's winter nights with 420,000 spectators.
SEVENTEEN on the 20th–21st gathered some 80,000 spectators at Fukuoka PayPay Dome, putting a successful full stop on the monthlong "SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN JAPAN." The two-day show sold out early, demonstrating their formidable ticket power.
SEVENTEEN filled a 3 hour 30 minute running time with group performances including the title track from their fifth studio album, "THUNDER," and solo stages that highlighted each member's personality and abilities. They also delivered the Japanese original songs "Not Alone (ひとりじゃない/hitorijanai)," "Power of Love (あいのちから/ainochikara)," as well as Japanese versions of "HIGHLIGHT" and "Rock with you," drawing loud cheers.
Members at the end of the show reflected, "thank you for filling such a large venue." They added, "during the concert it really hit us that we are spending our youth together. we want to continue to grow with you," and expressed resolve: "we hope the day comes soon when all 13 of us stand on stage together. until then we will work hard," delivering a touching moment.
SEVENTEEN started at Vantelin Dome Nagoya on the 27th and 29th–30th of last month, then performed 10 times across four domes — Kyocera Dome Osaka on the 4th and 6th–7th of this month, and Tokyo Dome on the 11th–12th — attracting a total of 420,000 spectators. In the four regions where performances were held, offline fan events "SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN JAPAN CARAT BUNKASAI," in collaboration with regional landmarks, large buildings, and food and beverage stores, were held and received positive responses.
Spectators who could not attend in person shared the excitement through live viewing and online live streaming. The second day of Nagoya (Nov. 29) was broadcast as live viewing in 1,100 theaters across 54 countries and regions, including Korea. Online live streaming accompanied the Osaka and Fukuoka shows, bringing together global fans from Korea, Japan, the United States, Canada and others.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN recently placed their fifth studio album "HAPPY BURSTDAY" at No. 7 in both the combined album ranking and the album ranking of Oricon's "Oricon annual ranking 2025," showcasing their enduring influence in the market. The mini 12th album and the fourth Japanese single released last year ranked No. 57 on the album ranking and No. 44 on the single ranking respectively, proving their long-running popularity. the presence of units also stood out. S.Coups and Mingyu's mini 1 EP ranked No. 51 on the album ranking, and BSS (Seungkwan, Dokyeom, Hoshi)'s second single ranked No. 81 on the single ranking.
Their "trophy collection" continued. SEVENTEEN previously won three awards at the 2025 MAMA AWARDS and went on to secure a place in the "Millions top 10" at the 2025 Melon Music Awards (The 17th Melon Music Awards). This award is given to groups that have a song that achieved 1 million streams within 24 hours of release.
SEVENTEEN will continue the "SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_]" in four Asian cities in Feb.–Mar. next year. They will fill six shows exclusively with large stadiums, starting at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1, then Singapore National Stadium on Mar. 7, Bangkok National Stadium on Mar. 14–15, and the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan on Mar. 21, underscoring their status as a "global top-tier artist."
