As actor Shin Mina held a wedding with Kim Woo-bin, the ultra-high-priced wedding dress worn at the ceremony, priced in the 40 million won range, was revealed and is drawing attention. Considering that the average wedding expense for ordinary people is 20 million won, the dress alone costs more than twice that.
According to the Korea Consumer Agency (KCA) on the 22nd, a survey of 500 wedding service providers nationwide found that as of Oct. this year, the average total wedding expense was 20.86 million won. This is down 3.4% from on the 8th, but it still exceeds the 20 million won range.
The wedding dress Shin Mina chose for the ceremony on the 20th is known to be from luxury brand Elie Saab's spring 2026 collection. The price is said to be around 42 million won. The brand has been boosting its profile as famous stars such as Kim Yuna, Son Ye-jin, and Son Yeon-jae have worn it.
The return gifts the couple gave to guests also drew notice. They prepared high-end cosmetics sets as favors. They included Lancôme, the French beauty brand for which Shin Mina serves as an ambassador, and the luxury fragrance brand Acqua di Parma.
The menu cards set on the tables featured drawings and handwriting by the couple. With the previously revealed wedding invitation—whose drawing was by Shin Mina and writing was completed directly by Kim Woo-bin—having drawn attention, the carefully prepared touches for guests stand out.
