ATEEZ member Seonghwa has been appointed as an ambassador for Jinju.
Seonghwa was appointed as Jinju's ambassador and received a letter of appointment at the ceremony held at the Jinju Silk Museum on the 19th.
Seonghwa was selected as an ambassador because of his local ties, having spent his school years in Jinju. As a global artist active on the world stage, he plans to use his powerful influence to widely promote Jinju's cultural appeal and the city's brand value.
The event, which began with the presentation of the ambassador plaque, continued with a mini talk show and one-day mentoring, heating up the atmosphere on site. This event served as an opportunity to naturally showcase Jinju's cultural and tourist appeal and created a special moment shared by Jinju and Seonghwa.
Furthermore, to commemorate this ambassador appointment, a special exhibition featuring various content such as Seonghwa's message of support to Jinju will be held at the Jinju Silk Museum through the end of January next year. This exhibition is expected to further heighten fans' and citizens' interest by linking Jinju silk with Seonghwa's relationship.
Seonghwa said, "I am deeply honored to take on the precious role of ambassador in my hometown Jinju, where I spent my childhood. I fully understand how meaningful it is to be an ambassador representing my hometown. As ambassador, I will work to more widely share Jinju's culture, nature, history and the warmth of its people. Meanwhile, ATEEZ, the group to which Seonghwa belongs, will present a Christmas gift–like performance at "2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon with Bithumb" to be held on the 25th at Incheon Inspire Arena.
