Singer Kyu-hyun colored the year-end with a classical sensibility and showcased his qualities as a "balladeer you can trust to listen to."
Kyu-hyun held his solo concert "2025 Kyu-hyun (KYUHYUN) Concert 'The Classic'" (hereafter "The Classic") at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul from the 19th to the 21st and met with audiences.
"The Classic" was a year-end show Kyu-hyun held over three days after releasing an EP of the same name as the November performance title, and it showed remarkable ticket power as all seats sold out as soon as tickets opened.
Through "The Classic," Kyu-hyun presented a single classical piece completed by his own voice. Kyu-hyun's refined vocals, delicate expressiveness, and his first-time collaboration with an orchestra adorned the end of the year with rich melodies.
In particular, true to the concert title "The Classic," Kyu-hyun reflected on the enduring value of luxury ballads whose worth does not change over time. In a flow that unfolded like a classical movement, Kyu-hyun infused his music and performance with a range of emotions and once again proved the musical trust he has built over time.
Kyu-hyun opened the concert with his characteristic understated vocals and raised the emotional arc by performing representative ballads in succession, including his solo debut song "At Gwanghwamun," "A Million Pieces," and "The Day We Meet Again." He also performed all the tracks from his recently released EP "The Classic," drawing listeners into the music through precise vocal control and demonstrating his dignity as a balladeer.
A mini musical stage that completely reversed the mood also stood out. Kyu-hyun wove the musical numbers "Open Your Eyes," "I Am Music," "Why Am I," and "Wherever That Is" into a single flow, delivering a different kind of thrill through a stage that combined music and narrative and eliciting enthusiastic responses from the audience.
The support of special guests for each show also made the performances richer. Jung Seung-hwan for the first show, Sung Si-kyung for the second, and So Su-bin for the third took the stage respectively to perform duets with Kyu-hyun, offering special moments. In particular, Kyu-hyun's older sister also participated directly on strings, adding warmth.
After successfully concluding his solo concert, Kyu-hyun shared a heartfelt remark, saying, "I hope you fill the coming 2026 with more happiness. As a singer, I will stay by fans' side for a long time."
