Tzuyang showed her true mukbang goddess side by consuming 50,000 calories in one day in Hokkaido, Japan.
On the 20th broadcast of MBC Omniscient Interfering View (hereinafter Omniscient Interfering View), mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang and former mixed martial artist Choi Hong-man gathered in one place and revealed an extraordinary "big-eating DNA," drawing attention.
On that day's broadcast, footage was shown of Tzuyang leaving for Hokkaido, Japan, on a business trip to film content. After finishing a 10 kg hairy crab mukbang, Tzuyang surprised viewers again by taking on a so-called "challenge mukbang," in which the giant dish is free if finished within the time limit.
The menu Tzuyang chose was the curry from a challenge mukbang restaurant famous even within Japan. The restaurant was organized into difficulty levels from 1 to 5, and Tzuyang chose the highest level, level 5. The challenge condition was an astonishing 5 kg of curry to be finished within 50 minutes. Considering one bowl of instant rice is about 200 g, that amounted to about ten bowls of rice alone.
Seeing the curry and toppings piled on a gigantic plate, Tzuyang showed a momentary look of tension. During the mukbang, Tzuyang surprised the panel by saying, "Honestly, I'm full." She said, "When I eat slowly I don't really feel full, but eating fast made me feel full for the first time in a while," and added, "Still, fullness usually goes down within five minutes," drawing laughter.
After a brief moment of worry about whether she would succeed, Tzuyang maintained her pace with a drink and quickly cleared the curry. As the food left on the plate decreased, the restaurant owner also showed signs of nervousness, and ultimately Tzuyang succeeded with 5 minutes 36 seconds remaining on the time limit. She finished the 5 kg curry in about 45 minutes. Both the owner and the customers watching were incredulous.
When the panel said, "You must have been really full that day," Tzuyang replied, "I actually felt fine after eating," and revealed, "I went back to the lodging and ate again," astonishing viewers once more. The manager who accompanied Tzuyang to the restaurant also succeeded in the 1.5 kg curry challenge, earning the evaluation, "that YouTuber, that manager."
That day, the total calories Tzuyang consumed in Hokkaido in one day were counted at a whopping 50,990 kcal, causing a stir in the studio.
Meanwhile, Tzuyang is a representative mukbang YouTuber who has gained great popularity domestically and internationally; she was born in 1997 and is 28 this year.<
