'Gen Z美 (Gen Zmi)' group KiiiKiii (KiiiKiii: Jiyu, I-sol, Sui, Ha-eum, Ki-ya) filled the 2025 Melon Music Awards (MMA 2025) with a colorful stage and made a distinct impression.
KiiiKiii won two awards at the 2025 Melon Music Awards (MMA 2025) held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 20th, taking home the "music video of the year" award for their debut song I DO ME (아이 두 미) and the Wonder K Global Icon award.
Through their agency Starship Entertainment, KiiiKiii said they were very happy to have received so much love starting with this year's debut song "I DO ME" and to have won twice on their first MMA stage. They added that "I DO ME" is the beginning of KiiiKiii and a song that conveys free energy, so they feel particularly attached to it, and they are proud and grateful that many people seem to love "I DO ME."
They continued, "We will do our best to repay the love we have received with music true to KiiiKiii and a variety of activities. Above all, we will work hard to be artists our fandom Tiki (official fan club name) can be proud of, so please keep supporting us, and we are preparing hard to bring you good music soon, so we ask for a lot of support and love in 2026 as well."
On the day, KiiiKiii attracted attention with a stage that offered a glimpse of the group's musical challenges over the year while receiving their awards. They delivered an intense emotion with a solid live performance of "To Me From Me (투 미 프롬 미)", released last November, and reversed the mood with a more rhythmically arranged version of "I DO ME."
KiiiKiii, conveying the team's color and an assertive message with free and varied performances, raised stage immersion through a dance break split between I-sol, Sui, Ha-eum and Jiyu, Ki-ya, and their precise choreography and blocking enhanced the members' chemistry.
With an unwavering live performance and refreshing lines in the final "DANCING ALONE," they showcased solid fundamentals, adding emotion with staging in which they sang facing each other or clasped their hands in prayer as stars in the LED twinkled, and they demonstrated infinite potential again by showing a range from lovable girls to artists who command the stage.
KiiiKiii's debut song "I DO ME," which won the "music video of the year" award, drew public attention after its music video teaser hit No. 1 on YouTube's trending videos 12 hours after release. After the song's release, it reached No. 1 on Spotify Viral 50 Korea and No. 3 on Melon HOT100 (based on 30 days after release), among other high chart positions, and KiiiKiii also took first place on MBC's Show! Music Core just 13 days after their official debut with "I DO ME."
Also, KiiiKiii has steadily exerted global influence, performing not only in Korea but also at Japan's Kyocera Dome Osaka and the Tokyo Dome. Recently, leading foreign media outlets including Billboard, Stardust magazine, NME and Dazed have continued to praise "I DO ME" as well as KiiiKiii's activities and diverse music, and KiiiKiii added meaning to those achievements by winning both the "best music video" award and the Wonder K Global Icon award at MMA 2025.
Meanwhile, KiiiKiii plans to continue activities that encompass domestic and international stages through diverse music and endeavors.
