Actor Go Eun-ah's younger brother and MBLAQ member Mir (real name Bang Cheol-yong) is joining the ranks of married men.
On the 21st, Mir will hold a ceremony in a location in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province with a non-celebrity who is one year older.
Ahead of the wedding, on the 20th Mir announced the marriage himself through his personal channel, saying, "I have news I want to share carefully, so I'm leaving this post. I met a precious person and we are tying the knot," and then released wedding photos.
He said, "I sincerely thank everyone who has watched over and supported me with a warm heart," and added, "We will cherish your feelings and live each day faithfully with care and respect for each other," and "I would appreciate it if you could continue to watch over us with warm eyes in the time ahead."
Mir and his fiancée are tying the knot based on trust and faith built up over a long time. Ahead of the wedding, Mir's older sister, actor Go Eun-ah, is also said to be sending her support.
Mir's wedding news has renewed interest in the marriages of MBLAQ members. Zio married Choi Ye-seul in 2019, and Cheondung also joined the ranks of married men when he married former Gugudan member Mimi in May last year. Cheondung is also well known as the younger brother of Sandara Park of 2NE1.
With Mir's marriage, he became the third married man in MBLAQ. Some fans apparently already knew about the marriage. One fan drew attention by leaving a comment on Mir's SNS a week before the marriage article came out saying, "Aren't you getting married? Congratulations on your marriage."
Meanwhile, Mir debuted as a member of MBLAQ in 2009. Since 2020 he has been running the family YouTube channel "Bangga-ne" and receiving much love.
