Football legend Tom Brady drew attention by appearing on social media for the first time since news of his ex-wife, model Gisele Bündchen's, remarriage.
On the 20th (local time), Brady posted two photos to his Instagram story. In the first photo he wore a white sweatshirt with the phrase 'FOREVER YOUNG (영원히 젊다)' and added a short comment, "Yup," along with a red '100' emoji. In the other photo he was shown outdoors wearing a black T-shirt and shorts while holding a football. The caption read "LFG(렛츠 *** 고)".
What drew attention was the background music. Brady included rapper Logic's 2017 song '1-800-273-8255' in both posts. The song deals with suicide prevention and contains rather dark lyrics such as "I feel like my life isn't mine" and "I don't want to live." The song title was the former U.S. suicide prevention hotline number; it has since changed to 988.
Brady's posts have spawned various interpretations in light of news of Bündchen's remarriage. Bündchen is reported to have had a private wedding to Brazilian jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquim Valente on Dec. 3. The two earlier welcomed a son this year, and it was reported that the child's middle name is 'River.'
Bündchen and Brady divorced in 2022 after 13 years of marriage. The couple, once dubbed the divorce of the century, have a son, Benjamin (16), and a daughter, VIVIEN (13), and Brady also has a son, Jack (18), with actress Bridget Moynahan.
Some reacted that the music Brady chose was "meaningful" or "indirectly revealed his current feelings," while other fans cautioned against overinterpretation, saying it was "just a playlist choice." In any case, Brady's first posts after his ex-wife's new start left questions about what message he might want to convey.
