The solo talk show of broadcaster Cho Sae-ho, who halted activities amid allegations of ties to organized crime, has launched.
Screwballs season 3: Screwballs disbandment show, released on the 21st, was fashioned as Cho Sae-ho SHOW.
Since the dress code for that broadcast was "black," Hong Jin Kyung and Joo Woo-jae dressed respectively as the grim reaper and as lion boys. Appearing next, Cho Sae-ho matched the "black" dress code by dressing as Hollywood actor Jack Black, who appeared on Infinite Challenge, and Kim Sook and Jang Woo-young matched the dress code by dressing as No-Face and a shadow, respectively.
The first segment for Cho Sae-ho, the fourth main figure of the disbandment show, was a solo talk show bearing his name, with Cho Sae-ho hosting as sole MC for Cho Sae-ho SHOW. Cho Sae-ho said, "There was a lot of emphasis on the four letters of Cho Sae-ho show. If existing talk shows have smooth hosting, my appeal will be awkward hosting, collapsing diction, clumsiness, and lack of a traditional narrative arc."
After receiving the cue card, Cho Sae-ho improvised for more than three minutes without a script. After drawing admiration for his neat, concise hosting and remarks, Cho Sae-ho introduced Kim Sook, Hong Jin Kyung, Joo Woo-jae and Jang Woo-young as guests.
Meanwhile, Cho Sae-ho was embroiled in allegations that he received expensive gifts, promoted a franchise run by a member of an organized crime group, and drank with a leading member of the largest violent organization in Geochang County, South Gyeongsang Province. The allegations were raised through an SNS account that receives tips about various illegal criminals, and the spread of the allegations intensified after photos of Cho Sae-ho with the individuals in question were also released.
Cho Sae-ho's side said, "Cho Sae-ho and the person in question were merely acquaintances, and the claims that he received gifts are groundless," but Cho Sae-ho said, "I want to say that the allegations raised are completely untrue. I will take this as an opportunity for deep reflection and try to greet you again in a more mature form," and announced he would step down from all broadcasts he was appearing on and suspend activities.
Screwballs said, "(Including Cho Sae-ho) the footage that was filmed will be broadcast as scheduled, and future appearances are under internal discussion."
