KBS2 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears' in which former baseball player Choi Jun-seok confesses he was scammed in a 2 billion-won building investment.
KBS 2TV 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears' (directed by Choi Seung-hee/hereafter "Sadanggwi") is a program of voluntary role reversal and self-reflection by Korea's bosses to create workplaces worth working for. In the last episode it recorded a peak viewership of 7.4%, continuing a rapid run as the No. 1 entertainment program in its time slot for 184 consecutive weeks. (Nielsen Korea)
In episode 336 of 'Sadanggwi,' which airs today (the 21st), Yang Jun-hyuk holds a large tasting event at a supermarket to sell yellowtail. To ensure a successful tasting event, Yang Jun-hyuk's close friend, former professional baseball player Choi Jun-seok, is brought in as a part-timer.
Recently, Choi Jun-seok, who became a hot topic for losing weight through Huego* and marathon training, appears dramatically slimmer after losing 40 kg, drawing attention. Perhaps buoyed by the confidence of his weight loss, Choi boldly skewers a whole yellowtail worth about 100,000 won and swallows it in one bite in a whole-yellowtail eating show that captures the public's attention. Choi, who hides the large whole yellowtail in his mouth in an almost magical eating performance, boasts happily, "Isn't this the first in the world?" Park Myung-soo reacts in amazement, saying, "Wow, that's crazy. It looks like you didn't eat anything."
Meanwhile, Choi Jun-seok reveals his own scam victimization, startling Yang Jun-hyuk and his wife. Choi confesses, "I was scammed out of more than 2 billion won in a building investment by someone really close to me," and adds, "I trusted a close acquaintance I had known for more than 10 years like family with the seal, but it was a scam. Because of that, my home changed from jeonse to monthly rent," shocking them. At his close friend's even greater scam victimization, Yang Jun-hyuk says, "How could you entrust something like a seal?" and shakes his head in disbelief.
Choi Jun-seok recalls the difficult past, saying, "I knew my wife had been scammed, but I didn't know the amount. We almost went to court with my wife." He adds, "You really have to listen to your wife," and confesses that he is working through many kinds of jobs, from baseball lessons to selling agricultural products, to pay off debts. In response, Jun Hyun-moo says firmly, "I don't trust people easily, so that wouldn't happen to me."
Choi Jun-seok's honest past confession and the image of Yang Jun-hyuk and his close friend Choi Jun-seok working hard today to protect their families are revealed through 'Sadanggwi.'
