Actor Hyun Bin shared his feelings after winning the best actor award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards while attending with his wife Son Ye-jin.
On the 21st, a video titled "I feel like I fell in love as if my clothes got wet.. (sincerely)" was posted on the YouTube channel Yojung Jae-hyung.
That day on "Yojung Jae-hyung," Hyun Bin, a lead in the Disney+ original series Made In Korea, appeared as a guest and talked about various topics.
Earlier, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin made headlines by becoming the first married couple to win best actor and best actress respectively at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards. At the ceremony that day, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin attracted attention as they sat side by side and showed sweet moments.
On this, Hyun Bin said, "First of all, just being nominated is a great honor. But I think if Byeong-heon sunbaenim had attended the Blue Dragon Film Awards, that seat might have been his. Because we sit by team. But Byeong-heon sunbaenim had a schedule in the U.S. with director Park Chan-wook, so he couldn't attend then," and added, "So I sat next to my wife, and then my best actor award was announced and I went up to receive it first and came down feeling dazed, and when my wife was called, I think I was even happier."
He continued, "By chance, both my wife and I, this was our first project after getting married. So there are some differences. My wife, after we married and our son WOOJIN was born, immediately filmed 'Harbin,' but my wife had a much longer gap and a strong thirst for acting. But it connected to a good award, so that made me feel good. I thought about how much she must have wanted to act," expressing affection for Son Ye-jin.
He also said, "As an actor who steadily built his filmography, having the longest hiatus would make it seem like filming 'Harbin' next to me was hard for her, but on the other hand, there must have been a clear desire to act. She held back and then worked with director Park Chan-wook, and because good results followed, I felt even happier. It felt like my wife was being rewarded."
