Global artist Jennie (JENNIE) won three awards at 'MMM2025', including the grand prize in the "eulhae's record" institutional sector.
Jennie attended 'The 17th Melon Music Awards (2025 Melon Music Awards, MMA2025)' held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 20th and completely dominated the stage with an unparalleled, irreplaceable performance, securing the grand prize.
At MMA2025, Jennie proved her overwhelming presence once again by taking home three trophies, including one of the grand prizes, "record of the year," for her first solo full-length album Ruby, as well as "top 10" and "millions top 10."
Along with the honor of the awards, Jennie filled the stage alone and naturally infused Korean elements throughout, delivering an artistic performance. The arrangements moved from "Seoul City" and "ZEN" to "like JENNIE," presenting as a single story Jennie's perspectives on the external world, her deep inner world, and finally the process of reaching the "whole me," offering deep immersion.
First, on the "Seoul City" stage, Jennie appeared wearing a huge veil and immediately captured attention. Centered on the blue of the taegeukgi, she expressed a feeling of familiarity and stability amid the city's lights and noise, and on the "ZEN" stage she showed inner balance and focus as she faced deeper places beyond the city's lights and noise.
On the final "like JENNIE" stage, she captured the image of the "whole me" she had finally reached, clearly revealing Jennie's identity. Jennie completed the stage with the overwhelming scale of a mega crew alongside about 50 dancers, making it impossible to look away for a moment, and proved a wide spectrum with perfect stage control and an unprecedentedly large-scale production, bringing the venue's excitement to a peak.
In particular, outfits that modernly reinterpreted Korean details and traditional elements drew attention. On the "Seoul City" stage, a huge veil was inscribed with the content of the first Korean songbook, adding meaning. Also, inspired by the jeogori form and modernly reinterpreted, Jennie and the dancers' costumes embodied Korean aesthetics across the stage, creating a strong yet graceful atmosphere. Through this stage infused with Korean elements, Jennie once again expressed her affection for and pride in Korea.
After receiving the "record of the year," Jennie said, "I'm grateful to receive such a big award. This year has been very meaningful to me. My first solo album came out, and I'm glad to end the year happily. I will continue to be Jennie who makes great music," expressing her gratitude to fans.
With her first solo full-length album Ruby this year, Jennie placed the title track and the rest of the tracks at the top ranks of major domestic and international charts. She also made K-pop history by appearing on prestigious global stages such as the 2025 Met Gala and the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Jennie, who decorated this year brilliantly, has firmly engraved 2025 under her name and is raising anticipation for her next moves.
