'2025 KBS Song Festival Global Festival' opened in splendor, heating the hearts of year-end music fans.
The '2025 KBS Song Festival,' broadcast live on the 19th, was hosted by Jang Doyoun, Minju and Moon Sangmin, and featured a total of 25 artists spanning genres and generations, delivering rich performances.
This year's Song Festival, themed 'K-POP, the key to global culture,' showcased a wide range of acts from global artists who raised K-POP's status around the world to K-bands that delivered energy with live band sounds and K-trot singers who stirred excitement and sentiment, providing a kaleidoscope of performances.
Especially eye-catching were the reinterpretation stages of 'K-POP hits' by hot girl groups. fromis_9 reimagined AOA's 'Short Skirt' in their own colors, showing a fresh charm, and KISS OF LIFE once again proved their performance prowess with a rendition of miss A's 'Bad Girl Good Girl.'
Above all, the highlight of the night was Lovelyz returning as a full group. Lovelyz summoned memories with their representative cross-generational hit 'A-Choo,' moving the audience, and continued by passionately singing 'JongSori,' completing a rich stage.
After the performance, the members shared their thoughts on celebrating their 11th anniversary. Lovelyz said they were able to come this far thanks to fans who continue to love music over time and sincerely thanked Lovelynuss across the country for their support. Mijoo said she was moved, saying, 'Thanks to everyone who waited until the end, I was able to stand on such a big stage again,' and she joked, 'The Song Festival is the best,' drawing laughter. Kei said, 'It was more meaningful because it was a Lovelyz stage performed after a long time,' and Yein said, 'The audience response was really great. Stages that resonate through music will continue,' revealing her overwhelming feelings.
On their 10th anniversary last year, Lovelyz reunited as a full group after about four years, releasing the digital singles 'If I touch you, you' and 'Dear' back to back to express gratitude to fans. They also proved their enduring popularity by touring four Asian cities starting in Seoul and visiting Macau, Taipei and Tokyo through the 10th anniversary concert 'Lovelyz in Winterland 4.' In particular, the Seoul performance sold out as soon as tickets opened, demonstrating their continued ticket-selling power.
