Kim Ju-ha confessed a shocking fact from her married life with her ex-husband.
On the night of the 20th, the fifth episode of MBN (MBN) 'Kim Ju-ha's Day and Night' featured psychiatrist and medical doctor Oh Eun-young, who appeared to lead a conversation about host Kim Ju-ha's most painful choice in life.
In that broadcast, Oh Eun-young asked, "At the time you were extremely busy and on a roll; was there a reason you decided to marry so abruptly?" Kim Ju-ha said, "At that time there was no one but him. When I couldn't eat and was working, he packed a lunch for me and brought it, and I was moved by that side of him," adding, "I used to be somewhat anti-marriage, but I thought that if someone cared for and loved me like that, it would be okay to marry."
Oh Eun-young empathized, saying, "Anyone would think that if this person stayed by my side and continued to do for me, I should spend my life with this person. It's a very natural feeling," then cautiously continued with a question: "After marriage, was there a decisive moment that made you feel the judgment was wrong?"
Kim Ju-ha said, "I wouldn't go so far as to say I judged wrongly, but I felt that neither my mother-in-law nor my husband told me everything," adding, "I thought not prying into what the other person didn't want to say was consideration, but that was a delusion."
She then confessed a shocking truth she happened upon during married life. Kim Ju-ha said, "After having a child and moving near my parents' home, while organizing our things I found a box of documents in my mother-in-law's room closet," explaining, "The original marriage certificate issued in the United States had 'divorce' written on it. It meant he had married another person while still married."
She said, "The document shown to me was a copy in which the word 'single' was written over the original," adding, "Under that there was also a document showing he had divorced another woman one month before marrying me." At the time Kim Ju-ha married, her husband was legally a married man. The studio was engulfed in shock.
The shock did not end there. Kim Ju-ha revealed, "Before the marriage, my mother-in-law came to see me and suggested I meet an adult son who was not married," and added, "Later I found out that that son was the ex-husband who turned out to be a married man," startling everyone again.
She said, "At the time both my mother-in-law and my ex-husband told me, 'If you say it like that the man will look foolish,' and told me to say we met at church," adding, "Looking back now, all those words were meant to conceal lies."
Recalling when she discovered the documents, Kim Ju-ha could not suppress her emotions. She said, "My eldest child was not yet one year old," and added, "If that person had said, 'I'm sorry, I did it because I loved you so much,' my heart might have eased a little. But that person said, 'What's wrong? Then leave.' Those words were a huge shock to me."
In the end Kim Ju-ha confessed, "I had a child and felt I had to protect the family, so I did not tell my parents about this," and endured a long period of silence.
Hearing this, Oh Eun-young quietly comforted her, saying, "Ms. Ju-ha is someone who regards honesty and trust as the most important values in life," and added, "That value itself must have been shattered by the experience."
