Amid runners around the world who revel as if there is no tomorrow, the Geukhan crew is swept up in an unexpected temptation.
The fourth episode of MBC's Geukhan84, airing on the 21st, will reveal the crew visiting the Medoc Marathon's eve festival "Mille Pâtes." The Geukhan crew, experiencing a festival-style marathon for the first time, repeatedly expresses amazement at the scale and atmosphere.
"Mille Pâtes" is the Medoc Marathon's official eve event meaning "a thousand pastas," where runners preparing for the race carb up with pasta and mingle with participants from around the world in a celebratory setting. At the site, pasta and wine are provided continuously, live music and performances follow, adding to the excitement.
At the festival-filled site, Kwon Hwa-woon, Lee Eun-ji and Tsuki mingle with runners gathered from around the world and enjoy the atmosphere. Meanwhile, Kian84, as at the Big Five Marathon in South Africa, appears awkward and remains somewhat apart from the crew, unable to blend easily into the crowd. Soon after, a scene is captured of Kian84 delivering intense dance moves on stage, and his younger siblings join in, enjoying a frenzied dance party.
The full-scale banquet where pasta and wine are offered without limit begins, and Kian84, facing the marathon the next day, alternately raises and lowers his wineglass and falls into deep contemplation. Lee Eun-ji lamented, "the most painful festival of my life," and Kwon Hwa-woon was also said to be amazed, saying, "I've entered many marathons at home and abroad, but I've never seen a race like this." Interest is focused on whether the Geukhan crew can resist the temptations of Bordeaux wine and the festival among runners who enjoy themselves as if there is no tomorrow.
The Medoc Marathon eve festival that put the Geukhan crew in a dilemma can be seen on MBC's Geukhan84, which airs on the 21st at 9:10 p.m.
