Veteran Kim Jong-min and Jun Hyun-moo, and new face Park Bo-gum, who will be the star of the KBS Entertainment Awards today (20th).
'2025 KBS Entertainment Awards' will be held today (20th) from 9:20 p.m. at the KBS New Building Public Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. Last year's grand prize winners, singer Lee Chan-won and actress Lee Min-jung, and comedian Moon Se-yoon, who is active on 2 Days & 1 Night, will serve as MCs to lead the day's celebration.
At today's '2025 KBS Entertainment Awards,' viewers can meet in one place the entertainment works and entertainers who brought laughter and emotion to audiences this year. The awards ceremony will review the contributions of KBS entertainment at the center of K-content that drew global attention.
Particularly notable is the winner of the grand prize. This year's grand prize nominees include veteran entertainment representatives and new faces. Regular nominee Kim Jong-min, who has won the grand prize three times with the 2 Days & 1 Night team and as an individual, Kim Sook, who has been prolific with shows such as Problem Child in House, Bossam for Stealing Hearts, and Pursuing Old Encounters, Lee Chan-won, who is challenging for the grand prize for the second consecutive year, and Jun Hyun-moo, who shines with four consecutive wins of the entertainer of the year award, are frequent nominees.
Also on the lineup are comedian Kim Young-hee, who was active with the 'Malja Halmae' character on Gag Concert, and Boom, who is making his first grand prize challenge with Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant and Heart on Wheels, offering a diverse lineup.
Among them, the most talked-about nominee is actor Park Bo-gum. Park Bo-gum has maintained a 10-year relationship with KBS through MUSIC BANK world tours, and this year he hosted The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile. On Park Bo-gum's Cantabile, he drew attention not only as a host but also for his musical activities, staging collaborative performances with artists each episode.
With the exciting showdown between regular grand prize nominees and new faces, attention is focused on whether Immortal Songs, which won the viewers' choice for best program award three years in a row, can add another trophy.
Also notable at this year's '2025 KBS Entertainment Awards' is the absence of Cho Sae-ho. Cho Sae-ho was embroiled in allegations of gang involvement following a netizen's claim, and although he denied the claims as groundless, he voluntarily withdrew from the programs he was appearing on. The 2 Days & 1 Night team will attend the awards with only five members due to Cho Sae-ho's absence. As a festival of entertainers who were active this year, Cho Sae-ho's absence is inevitably regrettable.
With Cho Sae-ho absent, attention is on who will ultimately take the spotlight at the KBS Entertainment Awards.
