SHINee Minho candidly spoke about how he admired Big Bang in the early days of his debut.
On the 19th, a video titled '(Formerly from YG, now at SM)' was posted on the YouTube channel "Jipdaeseong." On that day, Daesung visited SM Entertainment with the production team and had various conversations with the artists under the company.
In the video, Daesung mentioned Minho's early debut image and asked, "Wasn't he not the type to talk a lot at first?" In response, Minho recalled candidly, "The company told me not to talk. To me," recalling the time.
Minho said, "At that time the mysterious concept was strong, so there was a guideline to spare words as much as possible," and "I had things I wanted to say, but I had to hold back." He explained why the mysterious concept was not easy, saying, "When I was in high school I appeared on the radio and wanted to speak but couldn't, and there was even a time when a broadcast accident almost happened."
Daesung agreed, recalling, "They told us not to walk around outside the waiting room. If we used a shared waiting room, they told us to stay in the car."
Minho confessed that the sense of distance created by the mysterious strategy actually increased his admiration for Big Bang. He said, "As a young person listening to the older members' music, I was so curious, wondering 'what kind of people are they?,'" and added with a laugh, "But the time we could see them was only about three seconds."
In particular, Minho said, "Back then we listened to music on CDs, but the older members of Big Bang were not the type to play CDs," and "so we bought and listened to them ourselves," drawing attention. Although they belonged to the same agency, this revealed SHINee's image of approaching Big Bang's music with the heart of a fan.
Meanwhile, Minho is a member of the group SHINee, serving as main rapper and vocalist, and he continues active activities as both a singer and actor. Recently he released the single "TEMPO".<
