Singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun completes alternative service and is discharged today (the 20th).
Hwang Min-hyun will be discharged on the 20th after completing his military service obligation as a social service worker.
Hwang Min-hyun entered recruit training camp in March last year, received basic military training, and fulfilled his defense obligations through alternative service.
Hwang Min-hyun held fan meetings and released solo songs before his military service to meet with fans. He said to fans, "While preparing this 'Dorwon Gyeolui' I was able to look back on the past 12 years. Because of Hwangdo I think the path we walked together shone," and said ahead of enlistment, "Although we will be apart for a while, if I am with Hwangdo, I don't think any future that comes will be frightening."
With his discharge, Hwang Min-hyun is expected to begin an active work schedule. He will serve as host of the '2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon' on the 31st and will work alongside SHINee's Minho and ALLDAY PROJECT's Anni.
In addition, he is reportedly considering the TVING original series "Study Club season 2", so news of his next project is likely to come quickly.
Meanwhile, Hwang Min-hyun debuted in 2012 with the group NU'EST and re-debuted in the group Wanna One after appearing on Mnet's 'Produce 101 season 2' in 2017. After that group's activities ended, Hwang Min-hyun returned to NU'EST and is currently active as a solo singer and actor, appearing in dramas such as "Live On", "Alchemy of Souls", "Lies of No Use", and "Study Club".
