'Rookie of the year' CORTIS has been invited as a headliner to a famous festival hosted by the National Basketball Association (NBA).
On the 18th (local time), HYBE Music label BigHit Music said CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho) will take the stage as the headliner of the 'NBA Crossover concert series' at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Feb. 12, 2026. This is the first time a K-pop artist will perform at this event.
The 'NBA Crossover concert series' is a music event held during 2026 NBA All-Star week. It is part of 'NBA Crossover,' an entertainment event that combines sports with culture, music and fashion. The five members are set to spectacularly kick off the four-day festival (Feb. 12-15, 2026) on its opening night.
Grammy-winning three-time winner and hip-hop artist and actor Ludacris, who has five No. 1 songs on Billboard's 'Hot 100,' and Shaboozey, who last year held the top spot on the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100' for the longest period, were included in the headliner lineup alongside them. CORTIS proved its global influence by standing shoulder to shoulder with heavyweight artists just four months after debut.
The NBA described CORTIS as a "boundary-defying original artist," adding that "their unconstrained artistry and global influence align with the innovative spirit of 'NBA Crossover' and the All-Star." It also noted in detail that CORTIS' debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES entered the U.S. 'Billboard 200' at No. 15 (Sept. 27) and surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on Spotify in just over a month, expressing high expectations for these performances.
Meanwhile, CORTIS has received a flood of local love calls in the U.S. market after achieving remarkable results upon debut. They made a strong impression by appearing on popular programs last month, including iHeartRadio LIVE with CORTIS, Apple Music's The Zane Lowe Show, Sirius XM, and the Zach Sang Show.
