On the 18th broadcast of TV CHOSUN's Mistrot 4 yeoincheonha: women who enchant the world first episode, participants who combined publicity and skill, including Yoo Si-eun, a former contestant of Single's Inferno Season 4, soprano Park Hong-joo, Roolla main vocalist Kim Ji-hyun, singer Jeok-woo, and No Sa-bong, the elder sister of No Sa-yeon, appeared in large numbers and drew attention.
Appearing on stage that day as a cross-genre division contestant, Hong Seong-yun appeared with a youthful face and a fresh atmosphere reminiscent of the youth division. He introduced himself, "I am Hong Seong-yun, gayageum byeongchang, taking my first trot challenge in a life dedicated to gugak." Hong Seong-yun, who participated at the active recommendation of Mr. Choi Jae-myung, a contestant of Mr. Trot, said this stage was his first-ever audition, drawing attention.
Nervous on stage, Hong Seong-yun played the gayageum himself and chose Ahn Ye-eun's "Mankaehwa." The intro, which began with a brilliant performance, instantly overwhelmed the atmosphere, and the moment the first line rang out, his unique yet deep timbre captivated the judges' panel. All hearts burst before the song ended, and Hong Seong-yun showed tears as if surprised.
Jang Yoon-jung praised, "When the stage progresses, the true, good and beautiful candidates are roughly visible. This season everyone is so good that I couldn't find a friend to go into the waiting room and talk about names, but finally I think I'll be able to remember the name Hong Seong-yun," adding, "The voice is very unique, and pitch, pronunciation, control of dynamics, and emotional expression were too perfect."
