Businessman Lee, who has been mentioned as comedian Park Na-rae's "injection aunt" (ju-sai-mo), is claiming to be a practicing doctor in China.
Recently, amid allegations of an entertainment industry "injection aunt" gate and accusations of illegal medical practice, Lee has continued to claim on his personal mobile messenger profile on the 18th that he is a professor at a Chinese medical university.
According to the entertainment industry, Lee said, "It is true that I was a professor at the Inner Mongolia medical university from 2014 to 2019. I simply could not go to Inner Mongolia in 2019 because of COVID-19, I struggled because of the economic hardship caused by COVID-19, and I was notified late that it changed to a university of science and technology in July 2021."
This was a rebuttal to criticism from medical groups that the Po Kang Medical University Hospital in Inner Mongolia in China, which Lee had earlier said he graduated from, is a phantom medical school with no substance. In addition, medical organizations such as the Korean Medical Association Organization have filed complaints saying that even if Lee graduated from a medical school in China, he performed illegal medical practices in Korea because he does not have a medical license here.
Lee was mentioned as the "injection aunt" who performed illegal medical procedures amid disputes between Park Na-rae and her former managers. According to the former managers, Lee is accused of performing illegal medical procedures in nonmedical spaces such as Park Na-rae's home and filming sites.
In this regard, Park Na-rae's side has remained silent, saying they will let the court decide. Earlier, Park Na-rae was engulfed in allegations by former managers of power harassment, illegal medical practice, and failing to register a one-person agency. Park Na-rae has suspended her activities and, after countersuing the former managers on charges of "extortion," has kept silent.
