The group NOWZ's 'EVERGLOW' was selected as one of the best K-pop songs of the year.
Billboard on the 18th (local time) announced on its official website 'The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2025: Staff Picks'. According to it, NOWZ's first mini album 'IGNITION' released in July and its title track 'EVERGLOW' made the list.
Billboard explained, "Amid a trend dominated by rookie boy groups showcasing upbeat, hip-hop–based sounds, 'EVERGLOW' carries the weight of alternative rock and heavy metal," adding, "It sings of strength forged under pressure and a rebirth blossoming through trials. Among songs released this year, few possess such raw intensity."
Earlier, Billboard named NOWZ its K-pop rookie of the month for October. At the time, regarding 'IGNITION,' it emphasized, "The support that allowed newly debuted NOWZ to successfully handle songs from different genres is, of course, their solid skills," and highly evaluated NOWZ's potential.
Recently, NOWZ showcased point choreography reminiscent of watching a baseball game and explosive vocal power on various music shows with the title track 'HomeRUN' from their third single 'Play Ball.'
