2025 KBS 2TV one-act project 'Love: Track' unveils four love stories that capture realistic romance, conflicts hidden under the name of family, meetings that spread into excitement, and the growth of youth.
First, airing on the 21st (Sun) at 10:50 p.m., 'There is no man to carry my father's casket' (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Yeom Bo-ra) depicts a day in the life of Su-a (played by Kim Yoon-hye), who faces both her ex-boyfriend of 10 years and her current boyfriend of 100 days at her father's funeral. At the moment that should be the saddest, Su-a's complicated relationships come together in one place, creating a situation where she can neither laugh nor cry. Independent Su-a, who does not want to rely on anyone, must confront choices and emotional shocks that form the central points of interest in this work. Kim Yoon-hye, Kim Min-cheol and Kwon Soo-hyun are expected to portray the subtle emotional lines densely, eliciting real-world empathy.
Airing the same day, 'kimchi' (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Kang Han) follows the interior life of mother Young-mi (played by Kim Seon-young) after she learns her son Min-woo's (played by Kim Dan) secret through a threatening text. At the moment she confronts a truth she had ignored because of the closest relationship, the name 'family' approaches not as comfort but as the weight of choice. Kim Seon-young's intensely appealing acting and direction that emphasizes silence delicately capture the fracture of emotion and deliver a heavy resonance.
Airing on the 24th (Wed) at 9:50 p.m., 'One star's love' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo / written by Lee Sa-ha) begins with an unexpected meeting between Lee Kang-min (played by Lee Jun), a man who blindly trusts star ratings and gives five points, and Choi Ha-na (played by Bae Yoon-kyung), a woman who was given one point due to a dating app error. In an era that judges relationships by numbers, the process in which two people with completely different standards clash and seep into each other brings delight, and the fresh chemistry of Lee Jun and Bae Yoon-kyung is expected to add excitement.
Airing later the same day, 'Min-ji Min-ji Min-ji' (directed by Lee Young-seo / written by Choi Yi-kyung) is a youth coming-of-age romance that searches for the author of a love confession doodle found in the corner of a classroom. Kim Hyang-gi, Jin Ho-eun and Kwon Eun-bin refreshingly unfold teenagers' emotions mixed with trivial misunderstandings and excitement, inferiority and alienation. Nameless feelings that everyone has felt at least once during school days are summoned under the name 'Min-ji', delivering deep empathy.
'There is no man to carry my father's casket', starring Kim Yoon-hye, Kim Min-cheol and Kwon Soo-hyun, and 'kimchi', starring Kim Seon-young and Kim Dan, will air on Dec. 21 (Sun) at 10:50 p.m., and 'One star's love', starring Lee Jun and Bae Yoon-kyung, and 'Min-ji Min-ji Min-ji', starring Kim Hyang-gi, Jin Ho-eun and Kwon Eun-bin, will visit living rooms on Dec. 24 (Wed) at 9:50 p.m.
