Following TV personality Park Na-rae, YouTuber Ip Jjalbeun Haetnim, who faced allegations of receiving illegal medical procedures from "Injection Auntie" A, said the person will suspend all broadcasts and activities.
Ip Jjalbeun Haetnim said in a statement posted on the YouTube channel on the 19th that "the person decided to step down from all programs currently underway and suspend all scheduled activities."
The person said, "I sincerely apologize for causing concern to those who have cared for and supported me," and added, "Regarding the controversy and suspicions currently raised, I am reflecting and putting things in order, and if there is anything wrong, I will acknowledge it and will not make excuses or avoid responsibility."
Addressing the relationship with A at the center of the controversy, the person explained, "I first met A ('Injection Auntie') at a hospital in Gangnam District through an introduction from an acquaintance, so I believed without a doubt that A was a doctor and received treatment," and added, "On days when I was busy, A came to my home, but I have never been to A's home."
Ip Jjalbeun Haetnim apologized, saying, "Although I should have paid closer attention to various circumstances and acted prudently, failing to do so was my grave mistake, and I deeply reflect on it," and added, "I am truly sorry for unintentionally causing inconvenience and harm to fans and many others involved, and I hope the damage to everyone caused by this will be minimized." The person added, "I will do my best to approach the current matter with sincerity."
Earlier, one outlet reported that Ip Jjalbeun Haetnim was suspected of receiving diet pills and an IV drip from A, but the person denied the allegation, saying that while de-swelling medication was received at the hospital where A worked, it was unrelated to diet pills and IV drips.
