"HYBE Latin boy group" Santos Bravos (SANTOS BRAVOS)'s debut song "0%" music video was released on the 18th (local time).
The music video follows the five members enjoying themselves against the backdrop of a dazzling Mexico City night, moving through the city's rhythm. Their music, dance and daily life naturally intersect, visually conveying the song's message to "fully enjoy this moment."
The party atmosphere that is revived after an unexpected power outage symbolically shows Santos Bravos' energy that turns everyday life into a celebration. In particular, their "sharp synchronized choreography" stands out for its high level of completion amid the crowd. At the end of the video, the flags of each member's country fluttering behind them hint at Santos Bravos' cultural and musical diversity.
Jaime Escallón, CEO and general manager of TRU, a label under HYBE Latin America, said, "We captured Santos Bravos' identity exactly in the '0%' music video. Their core is the real energy and sense of bonding that comes from enjoying life, living in the moment and being together, not obsessive perfection."
"0%" is a song that harmoniously blends an exciting beat like a heartbeat with an intense bassline and rhythm, refined electronic sounds, and a fast-tempo Latin pop melody. Santos Bravos' free and honest energy and the chorus lyrics repeated, "Donde quiero estar (the place I truly want to be)," intuitively convey the song's message and add strong addictiveness, critics say.
The song was produced by songwriter Johnny Goldstein, who has worked with global pop artists such as The Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears and Madonna. Grammy-winning songwriter Dani Rondón, Vibarco and Castle also participated.
Santos Bravos is a global boy group that debuted in Mexico under the "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy led by HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk. Among countless audition applicants, 17 who passed the first round underwent about six months of K-pop style training, and among them Drew (U.S./Mexico), Alejandro (Peru), Caue (Brazil), Gabee (Puerto Rico), and Keneth (Mexico) were selected as the final members.
Their debut concert was held at the historic venue Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. All 10,000 seats were sold out, and "0%" was unveiled there for the first time, drawing enthusiastic cheers from fans.
