Cube Entertainment Corp. rookie boy group NOWZ (Nowz) members Yeon-woo and Si-yoon showed their athlete-idol sides.
Yeon-woo and Si-yoon of Nowz (Hyun-bin, Yun, Yeon-woo, Jin-hyeok, Si-yoon) appeared on the web variety channel "Engang-iehyung" released on the 17th to learn exercise from Julien Kang.
On that day Yeon-woo explained that regarding the title track "HomeRUN" from their third single released last month, "It is a song that contains a message of endlessly running forward even in hard and weary moments." Then Si-yoon, when Julien Kang said his channel and the song suited each other well, said "I came to show my passion" and steeled his resolve.
Later Si-yoon, who said he was a fan of Julien Kang, said, "I was worried because my shoulder muscles did not grow well compared with exercising, so I wanted to learn today." Julien Kang then recommended kettlebell exercises that can build shoulder muscles without affecting choreography moves.
Julien Kang also demonstrated pull-up exercises using the building structure for Yeon-woo who wanted to supplement his forearm muscles, and Yeon-woo and Si-yoon performed them perfectly, drawing attention. After teaching high-intensity upper-body exercises to strengthen shoulder muscles, Julien Kang taught Muay Thai techniques and self-defense skills at the request of Yeon-woo and Si-yoon who wanted to learn self-defense.
After finishing the workout Si-yoon said, "I felt that you have to work much harder than I thought for your body to grow. It was so fun to learn useful self-defense skills. I feel good having exercised together." In response Julien Kang said, "It was an honor and I will cheer for Nowz hard," and he returned the favor by making a home-run batting motion with Yeon-woo and Si-yoon.
