"Zootopia 2" has risen to the No. 1 spot at the 2025 Korean box office.
On the afternoon of the 18th, the team behind the film "Zootopia 2" (directors Jared Bush, Byron Howard, distributor Walt Disney Company Korea) said that on the 23rd day since its release it attracted 5.69 million moviegoers, becoming this year's top-grossing film in Korea.
According to the integrated box office computer network, "Zootopia 2" had reached 5,691,69 moviegoers as of 2:06 p.m. that day. With this, "Zootopia 2" surpassed "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train," which had previously held the No. 1 spot at the 2025 Korean box office with a cumulative audience of 5,681,184.
"Zootopia 2" not only rose to No. 1 at Korea's 2025 box office, but also set a meaningful record as the first Disney animated film to top the domestic annual box office.
Its global box office performance is also overwhelming. On the 15th, "Zootopia 2" surpassed $1,136,670,000 in global box office revenue (about 1.6787 trillion won), ranking first in global box office revenue among Hollywood films released this year and setting an unprecedented record by sweeping various No. 1 titles worldwide.
Entering its fourth week since release, it continues to hold the second spot in real-time reservation rates after "Avatar: Fire and Water," proving audiences' strong affection and drawing more attention to its future box office performance.
