3Y CORPORATION and Taiwan public broadcaster Hakka TV present season 2 of Chef's emergency landing: Hakka's kitchen.
"Chef's emergency landing: Hakka's kitchen" is a reality variety show in which star chef Lee Won-il, who has crash-landed at a Taiwanese Hakka restaurant, becomes the owner and runs the business locally. Super Junior Leeteuk and Taiwan's national actor Yuan Sheng-hao grant captivated local audiences in Taiwan with stories more delicious than the food.
Hakka are an ethnic group that make up about 15 to 20% of Taiwan's population and maintain their own language and culture. Hakka cuisine, centered on preservation and fermentation, offers a simple but deep flavor and forms an important pillar of Taiwan's food culture.
Season 2 of "Chef's emergency landing: Hakka's kitchen," which has been released through TVING since the 8th, meets Korean viewers based on the verified buzz from season 1. The goal is to broaden empathy with viewers in both countries through fusion dishes of Taiwanese Hakka cuisine and Korean food.
For season 2, with a Hakka restaurant opened in the middle of the Han River, Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon, MZ chef Jo Seo-hyung—who drew attention as a "business genius"—broadcaster HeeBap, former national table tennis player Jang Hong-je, and Taiwan's popular actress Chen Ting-ni join to add energy. The show's key viewing points are the business stories created with new places, new customers and new friends amid fantastic chemistry and lively summer scenes.
Meanwhile, the nine-episode season 2 of "Chef's emergency landing: Hakka's kitchen" will be released every Sunday at 9 p.m. on six major local Taiwanese TV channels including Hakka TV and Line TV, and on TVING.<
