The private life controversy surrounding actor Lee Yi-kyung is still not subsiding. The accuser, a person surnamed A, once again spoke directly and did not back down from their claims.
On the 17th, the person surnamed A said on social media, "I have sent DMs to Korean entertainers or influencers in the past, but this is the first time I received a direct reply like this," and "At that time I just felt it was simply interesting."
She added, "What became an issue was the conversation exchanged in April of this year," and "From then on I felt the level of conversation clearly crossed the line. I judged that evidence confirming the actor's identity was necessary, so I requested a selfie."
The person surnamed A said, "He probably did not reply only to me," and "I was contacted by other people who said they had actually exchanged DMs with him. But I did not disclose related details because of concerns about additional harm."
Earlier, the person surnamed A initially took the position that the exposé was an AI-manipulated creation, then reversed that position and intensified the controversy. She said, "At first, out of fear I claimed it was AI-generated, but I am revealing this again to correct the facts," and reiterated, "The content is true."
Regarding this, Lee Yi-kyung's agency has not issued a separate official position, but it is known that legal action against the person surnamed A is proceeding as planned. The agency previously warned of a strong response, saying, "That is completely untrue," and has formally requested an investigation into the person surnamed A.
Lee Yi-kyung countered that the person surnamed A who released the inappropriate messages about him is German and accused them of spreading private life rumors, but the controversy has not easily calmed down.
As a result of this controversy, Lee Yi-kyung left MBC's Hangout With Yoo and his planned appearance as a new MC on KBS2's The Return of SUPERMAN was also canceled.
