Park Narae was completely erased from Save Me! Holmes.
On the 18th broadcast, MBC's Save Me! Holmes featured part 2 of chef Jung Ji-seon and Kim Sook's "Asia mega city Shanghai field visit," continuing from last week.
Earlier, Kim Sook said, "The real estate market in Shanghai has been frozen for several years. A slight downward trend has continued," and "From this August, transactions by foreigners have been permitted in Shanghai's outskirts," noting this as she set out on a 30-hour field visit with coordinator "Captain Ttaga."
Meanwhile, the broadcast depicted the second day in Shanghai. Kim Sook said, "It's the morning of the second day. We filmed all 30 hours. The moment the camera started rolling was 6:30 a.m.," describing the grueling pace.
Kim Dae-ho mentioned the much-discussed "Chinese wealthy household" revealed on last week's broadcast, saying, "You must have stayed at Mr. Ma's house for quite a while," and Kim Sook complained, "I returned home past midnight from there. Because the Michelin chef prepared a multi-course meal. He was preparing to serve six dishes. I had planned to eat only the steak and leave, but the next dish was a shrimp dish. It looked so delicious that I ate some. I was so hungry. After eating some of the course, it got late, and when I returned to the lodging, the day had already changed. I must have slept about three hours."
Chef Jung Ji-seon also said, "I slept for two hours then," and Kim Sook said, "Because we had to go to Yoon Jung-soo's wedding, we started early," recounting the extraordinary effort to keep the promise with Yoon Jung-soo, with whom she had paired as a "virtual couple."
Afterward, Kim Sook and chef Jung Ji-seon personally toured and introduced homes of young people who left their hometowns and settled in Shanghai. Meanwhile, as with last week, Park Narae's appearances were completely edited out of the broadcast, drawing attention.
Studio full shots were exposed intermittently, but most cuts used shots where Park Narae was not visible. In particular, her individual remarks were muted or cut so they could barely be heard.
Meanwhile, Park Narae was recently embroiled in allegations ranging from abuse of power to proxy prescriptions, illegal medical practices and embezzlement after exposés by a former manager. The former managers claimed damages from Park Narae and filed for a property seizure worth about 100 million won with the Seoul Western District Court, then filed a complaint with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station accusing her of embezzlement. Park Narae denied this and sued the former managers for attempted extortion, but controversy grew after circumstances surfaced suggesting she had received illegal medical treatment from a so-called "injection aunt" who did not hold a medical license.
As the controversy grew, Park Narae withdrew from MBC's I Live Alone, Save Me! Holmes and tvN's Amazing Saturday and suspended activities. The programs decided to edit already recorded segments as much as possible. Recently, Park Narae released a final statement via video saying, "There are parts of the current allegations whose facts need to be calmly verified, so legal procedures are underway. I will not make any further public remarks or explanations during that process."
