Attorney Lee Ji-hoon, head lawyer at the law firm Law & More with 500,000 subscribers, fired a direct shot at Park Na-rae's statement amid recent power-abuse allegations, saying she "has failed to grasp the essence of the situation."
On the 17th, Lee said on his YouTube channel that Park's apology posted on social media "was written without understanding what the problem is."
Earlier, Park claimed in her statement that misunderstandings had built up with managers who left, but that they recently met and resolved the distrust, and she said she would halt her broadcasting activities until a clean resolution.
On this, Lee criticized that using the expression "we lived like family" in a relationship formed through work is itself an act of poor judgment, saying Park was trying to gloss over a grave situation.
Emphasizing the legal issues in particular, Lee warned that "if it is true that a wine glass was thrown and a manager was injured, that constitutes 'special injury,'" adding, "With the mindset that calls such a serious crime a mere misunderstanding, you cannot resolve the problem."
He also strongly criticized the allegation that during settlement talks Park suggested going to a karaoke room while intoxicated, saying, "She wasted the golden time when she should have eased the victim's mind."
Park is currently facing complaints from former managers accusing her of special injury and embezzlement, and in response she has filed countersuits against the managers on charges of extortion, engaging in a legal battle.
In addition, allegations have newly arisen of illegal proxy prescriptions through a so-called "hangover aunt" and violations of the Narcotics Control Act, with a petition filed to police, sending the situation spiraling out of control.
