Actress Gong Min-jung delivered deep empathy to viewers with her profoundly skilled acting.
Gong Min-jung gave a passionate performance as Yoo Dal-rae, an animal communicator and former zookeeper, in the 2025 KBS2 one-act project Love: Track – on the night the wolf disappeared, broadcast on the 17th, captivating viewers by portraying with delicate acting the realistic worries and emotions of a couple facing divorce.
Dal-rae rushed to the zoo after receiving a message from her husband Dae-gang (Im Seong-jae) saying that wolf Sun-jeong had disappeared. Facing divorce from Dae-gang, Dal-rae, angry at Dae-gang for causing another incident, was about to leave, but she couldn't get the wolf Sun-jeong, whom she had cared for since childhood as a zookeeper, out of her mind, so she set out to find the missing Sun-jeong. In the process, Dal-rae learned facts about her husband she had not known and her sharp emotions softened.
However, when Dal-rae received news that her daughter was sick, she was more concerned with not revealing that Sun-jeong was missing, became angry at the frantic Dae-gang, and as the conflict reached a peak Dal-rae ultimately gave up looking for Sun-jeong and turned away. At that moment Sun-jeong appeared before Dal-rae, and Dal-rae learned that Sun-jeong was pregnant. The two reflected on their actions because of Sun-jeong's pregnancy. Searching for reasons for the divorce in themselves, they realized that a breakup is not caused by the fault of just one person and came to understand each other.
Gong Min-jung filled the fast-paced one-act with dense acting without gaps, showing an irreplaceable presence. With a performance perfectly integrated into the character, Gong Min-jung stably led the drama, fully demonstrating years of accumulated acting skill, instantly immersing viewers in the work and maximizing the drama's entertainment.
In particular, Gong Min-jung's lifestyle-based, grounded acting shone through in this work, stimulating viewers' empathy. Her passionate portrayal realistically depicted misunderstandings and understanding between a couple and clearly resonated with viewers. Gong Min-jung completed her own Yoo Dal-rae character through natural tone, expressions, gaze and breathing, leaving a deep impression on viewers.
