Singer Yoon Bomi, who has been in a relationship for more than nine years, and producer Rado (Rado, full name Song Ju-young) will become spouses in May next year.
On the 18th, Yoon Bomi's agency Withus Entertainment released an official statement saying, "Yoon Bomi will tie the knot in May next year with a precious partner who has stood by her side for a long time. We ask for warm support for the two as they begin a new chapter in life."
Yoon Bomi's side said, "After marriage, Yoon Bomi plans to continue steady activities as an Apink member, actress and entertainer," and promised, "I will repay the fans who have always supported me by returning in a more mature and responsible way."
On the same day, High Up Entertainment, where Rado is signed, also released a statement saying, "Our chief producer Rado has met a precious partner and will tie the knot in May next year."
High Up said, "After marriage, Rado plans to continue dedicating himself to musical activities as High Up Entertainment's chief producer without change. We ask for warm blessings for the couple's future," it added.
The two first met while working on Apink's third full-length album in 2016, began dating in 2017 and have been in a relationship for more than nine years. The two acknowledged their relationship in April last year, and announced serious wedding plans 1 year and 8 months after going public.
As soon as news of the wedding broke, Yoon Bomi was the first to speak to fans. Posting a handwritten letter on the fan cafe, she said, "I am very sorry that my news may have reached fans abruptly through articles," and added, "After my teens and twenties, I have become 33-year-old Yoon Bomi, and I have decided to spend the rest of my life with someone who has shared daily life with me for a long time and has been with me in joyful and wavering times."
Yoon Bomi expressed gratitude, saying, "As I have until now, I will continue to fulfill my responsibilities in my place and live more firmly. And as Apink and as Yoon Bomi, I will repay Panda with better activities. Thank you. I am always grateful, really very grateful."
Meanwhile, Yoon Bomi debuted in 2011 with the group Apink and will release the mini 11th album RE : LOVE to mark her 15th anniversary in January next year. She is currently appearing on ENA and SBS Plus variety shows I'm SOLO, The story continues after, and on TVING's Superrace Freestyle, among others.
Rado, chief producer at High Up Entertainment, which manages STAYC, has produced many hit songs including Beast's "Breathless," SISTAR's "TOUCH MY BODY," TWICE's "OOH-AHH," "CHEER UP," "TT," "LIKEY," Apink's "No No No," STAYC's "ASAP" and "TEDDY BEAR."
