Actor Hyun Bin returns to the drama as the face of ambition in "Made In Korea."
On the 18th, his agency VAST Entertainment released still cuts of Hyun Bin, who is returning to drama after five years through the Disney+ original series Made In Korea.
"Made In Korea" is set in 1970s Korea, a time of both turmoil and leap forward, and tells the story of a company man, "Baek Gi-tae" (Hyun Bin), who seeks to reach the pinnacle of wealth and power by turning the state into a revenue model, and prosecutor "Jang Geon-young" (Jung Woo-sung), who pursues him with relentless determination to the edge, as they confront massive events that span the era. Even before its release, it has attracted high interest from viewers around the world and emerged as an anticipated year-end title.
Hyun Bin plays the role of Central Intelligence Agency director "Baek Gi-tae," promising a powerful transformation not seen in his previous filmography. Known for crossing genres and beloved by a wide range of generations, he is expected to show a new side in this work as a character with cold judgment and unwavering ambition. The bold image created by his short pomaded hair and restrained suit in the released stills further raises expectations about how Hyun Bin's characteristic restrained charisma will expand into the narrative.
Global fans' interest is also intense. At the "Disney+ original preview 2025" event held in Hong Kong last November, a large number of international reporters attended, concentrating coverage on Made In Korea, and even the some footage shown on site prompted praise for the work's atmosphere and the actors' synergy.
