Netflix original Physical: Asia's spin-off Physical: Welcome to Mongolia has released a main poster set against the Mongolian snowy plains, raising expectations.
Physical: Welcome to Mongolia is a special physical friendship travelogue in which the Mongolian team, which faced Korea fiercely in the final, this time invites their Korean team friends to their "hometown Mongolia." Mongolian team captain Urkhenbayar, who said he would invite the Korean team to Mongolia, and Korean team captain Kim Dong-hyun, who said he would win and visit Mongolia, meet again in Mongolia to keep their promises, and the cast includes Korea's Kim Dong-hyun, Amotti, and Mongolia's Urkhenbayar and Lhagva-Ochir.
The released poster raises anticipation by featuring the cast in traditional Mongolian clothing and the surprise appearance of Australian strongman Eddie. Kim Dong-hyun, Urkhenbayar, Lhagva-Ochir and Eddie, four people, hold the horizontally lying Amotti and smile broadly, showing a warm atmosphere. In particular, against the backdrop of the snow-covered plain and the traditional Mongolian dwelling "ger," curiosity is further piqued about the special physical friendship journey that will unfold in the vast nature.
Physical: Welcome to Mongolia will show a "real Mongolian-style" trip through a travel schedule personally arranged A to Z by Mongolian traditional wrestling champion Urkhenbayar, including places real Mongolian people visit and popular local restaurants. Viewers can also see a special circus performance by Lhagva-Ochir, a member of Cirque du Soleil, as well as an archery competition held on the snowy plain. As the Netflix original Physical: Asia has become a national content and caused a syndrome in Mongolia, interest and expectations for this spin-off are also rising. Immediately after the launch news was released, enthusiastic reactions poured in, such as "the production team is amazing" and "you must watch this."
In particular, interest grew when it was revealed that PD Jang Ho-gi, who directs Physical: Asia, met Mongolia's prime minister during this journey. The cast also attended the meeting, and it was reported they could directly feel the intense local popularity. This was a symbolic moment showing the popularity of Physical: Asia in Mongolia and served as another demonstration of its influence as a global content, adding to curiosity about further world-building to be shown in Mongolia.
The Physical: Asia spin-off Physical: Welcome to Mongolia was produced in four episodes, and episodes 1 and 2 will be released on Netflix at 5 p.m. on the 24th (Wednesday). Episodes 3 and 4 will be available at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 (Wednesday). <
