Bae Dong-jin said that his call with his mother was connected 15 years ago, but he could not speak and only cried. At that time his mother reacted coldly, telling him not to call. When he called again later, the phone number had changed and he could not reach her.
Bae Dong-jin said that in the following days he inquired about his mother's whereabouts. He heard that his mother had become ill and was living in hardship. He reddened at the thought that he could not even know whether his mother was alive.
Eventually, after inquiries the production team reached the mother's granddaughter, and Bae Dong-jin learned that his mother had already passed away.
