Rapper Swings said he had a vasectomy in his early 30s.
On the 13th, a video titled "Is this man Teto or Egen?" was posted on the YouTube channel "Egennam Swings."
That day, Swings opened by saying as soon as he saw the production team, "Yo~ today is the day to test my masculinity."
He asked, "Isn't this a testosterone level test?" and the production team explained it was a different test. Understanding the crew, Swings said, "It's not that I haven't done this before. I have," and added, "There are personal reasons I can't reveal right now."
After finishing the sperm test, while moving by car, Swings said, "About eight to nine years ago I made a big decision. I decided, 'I don't need a second generation. If I'm going to be single by choice, let's be sure about it,' and I tied it off. I had a vasectomy in my early 30s."
He explained, "At the time the doctor warned that even if you have restorative surgery, the annual chance of pregnancy decreases by 10% each year. They said if you restore five years after the surgery, the success rate would be about 50%," and added, "When about six to seven years had passed since the surgery, that is, two to three years ago, my mind changed."
Swings ultimately had restorative surgery. He confessed, "I went to a famous hospital in Myeongdong for the surgery and had a sperm test, and unlike before, the number was so low they had to search for sperm."
The production team asked, "Is there a time when you want to get married?" and Swings added, "I used to want to marry as late as possible. But now, if someone I want to see for the rest of my life appears, the timing wouldn't matter."
After reviewing the test results, Swings was found to have masculinity levels comparable to Choo Sung Hoon and Kim Jong-kook. The doctor diagnosed, "There is no problem becoming a father," and Swings expressed relief, saying, "I thought my levels would be low and my self-esteem had dropped, but the test results seem to have changed a lot of things."
