SHINee member Minho quietly expressed his longing on the eighth anniversary of the late Jonghyun's death.
On the 18th, Minho posted a photo of Jonghyun when he was alive on his SNS with the phrase "I always love hyung."
Along with this, Minho selected Jonghyun's song "Warm Winter" as the BGM and remembered the late artist.
SHINee's official account also that day posted a photo of Jonghyun with the words "I always love you," mourning the late artist. In the photo, Jonghyun is wearing a check jacket and concentrating on a shoot, capturing the lively atmosphere he is still vividly remembered by fans for.
Jonghyun died on Dec. 18, 2017, at the age of 27. The publicly released suicide note included the sentence "depression swallowed me," which caused great shock and sorrow among domestic and international fans at the time.
Jonghyun, who debuted in 2008 with SHINee, left numerous hit songs including "Noona, You're So Pretty," "You Are Like Oxygen," "Lucifer" and "Sherlock," and established himself as a "songwriting idol" by writing and composing songs for various artists such as IU's "Depression Clock," Lee Hi's "Breathe" and Taemin's "Pretty Boy."
Jonghyun's bereaved family established the public corporation "Bitnara" in 2018 and has been supporting young artists without agencies using the royalties Jonghyun left behind.
SHINee members have commemorated Jonghyun every year on his birthday and anniversary. Minho also left a post on Jonghyun's birthday last April saying, "Happy birthday. I always miss you."
Time has passed, but the memories of the members and fans for Jonghyun still continue.<
