Hong Jin Kyung repeatedly emphasized, "We almost caused a stir, so let's pull ourselves together," and the acquaintance asked, "There's nothing in Korea, right?" Hong Jin Kyung also confirmed again with, "It's not an important period, right?" which drew laughter.
Meanwhile, during this year's presidential election period, Hong Jin Kyung was embroiled in a political color controversy after posting a photo wearing a red knit on social media. Hong Jin Kyung posted a handwritten apology and explained, "The photos I posted on my feed were taken two days earlier at a store in Stockholm. I posted the photos because I thought the design was interesting, but I failed to consider the color of the top I was wearing at the time," and added, "Having spent a long time abroad, I became detached from life in Korea and lost my sense of tension."
She continued, "Regardless of the reason, I was wrong. No matter how many mouths I had, I have nothing to say, and it is clearly my fault. I sincerely apologize once again for causing confusion to your feelings during this sensitive time," offering an apology and explanation.
Also, Hong Jin Kyung later said on her YouTube channel, "Because I was someone who interviewed three presidential candidates, I should have remained tense and careful to the end, but I truly had no thought; for that I apologize once again," bowing her head while repeatedly emphasizing that she had no special intent.
