The group LE SSERAFIM topped K-pop girl groups on Japan's Oricon 'annual single ranking.' Following strong results on Billboard Japan's released '2025 year-end settlement of account chart,' they cemented their presence as the 'strongest 4th-generation girl group.'
On the 17th, Japan's Oricon released the 'Yearly ranking 2025' covering works released between Dec. 23, 2024, and Dec. 15, 2025. LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) placed every record they released during the tally period into the rankings.
LE SSERAFIM's fourth Japanese single, 'DIFFERENT,' released in June this year, ranked 50th on the 'annual single ranking,' marking the highest position among K-pop girl groups. In addition, the third Japanese single 'CRAZY,' released last December, placed 53rd, and the first Korean single 'SPAGHETTI,' released in Korea last October, placed 63rd. LE SSERAFIM had the most songs among Korean girl groups on that chart, proving their solid standing in Japan.
LE SSERAFIM's strength also stood out on the 'annual album ranking.' Their fifth mini album 'HOT,' released in Korea this March, entered at 63rd. That album sold about 70,000 copies on the day of its Japanese release alone, reaching No. 1 on Oricon's 'daily album ranking' (March 15). To date, they have placed all six of their Korean albums at the top of that chart.
Notably, LE SSERAFIM held encore concerts of their world tour at Tokyo Dome on Nov. 18-19, drawing 80,000 spectators over the two days. At the time, Japan's five major sports papers (Sports Nippon, Daily Sports, Nikkan Sports, Sports Hochi, Sankei Sports) published special editions focusing on the performance and the audience's enthusiasm, showing high interest.
LE SSERAFIM will perform on the stage of Japan's top year-end indoor music festival 'Countdown Japan 25/26' on the 28th. They are the only K-pop girl group in this year's lineup.
